There are many organizations that offer information, education, assistance and support for cancer patients. Links to just some of those organizations are listed here. Your health care provider(s) may have specific suggestions.  You may also contact our Cancer Care Coordinators for any assistance or questions.

A Woman’s Place
A Woman’s Place located at St. Mary’s has wigs, bras, and breast prostheses for people with low income or no insurance.

Ribbon of Hope
Our mission is to be a financial, informational and emotional resource for individuals with breast cancer in Northeastern Wisconsin. The board consists of breast cancer survivors and spouses dedicated to helping others with this disease.

There are many internet sites with cancer-related information.  However,trying to discern accurate information from inaccurate can be difficult.  While we are unable to endorse the information on the websites below, we do believe these organizations have taken efforts to provide creditable information.  These links are provided to help you navigate through the myraid of sites online.

American Cancer Society—Information for patients with cancer, as well as for their family and friends. The site provides access to statistics, prevention, early detection, and can connect you with cancer survivor networks and support programs.

Cancer Care, Inc.—A non-profit organization which provides free professional help to people with cancer through counseling, education, information, and referral and direct financial information.

Cancer Facts—This resource for cancer patients, families, and caregivers includes the Cancer Profiler, which is an interactive tool to help in making informed treatment decisions.

Living Beyond Breast Cancer—Focusing on living well beyond breast cancer with educational newsletters, interactive message boards, and more.

National Alliance of Breast Cancer Organization—Leading non-profit information and education resource on breast cancer in the U.S.
